Wordfest takes place at Carpe Diem in Knowlton with workshops and conversations with writers and poets. The literary festival opens with a Friday 5-7 with Sunshine Theatre’s new work, Ourstory inspired by Townships stories. On the menu we have a conversation with the Brian Busby, biographer of John Glassco, famous local poet and postman. Also in the program are children’s workshops and conversations and readings with poets and authors in French and English. The Words and Music Concert on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. features Amos Joannides, Sarah Biggs and spoken word artist, Ian Ferrier.  Attractions include a Wheredunnit workshop with Louise Penny, a birthday party with Penguin Books (Brome Lake Books) a HUGE used book sale at Pettes  Memorial Library and a Schmoozer with ELAN at Cafe Inn.

Many events are free. A weekend pass is available for $25 and will admit festival-goers to author events. Concert tickets are $15 (sold separately).
